The start/finish location at FNB Stadium provides easy access and safe parking. This magnificent venue is in the heart of Johannesburg, making it an excellent platform to discover the vast city and suburban areas.
Cyclists traveling from the FNB Stadium can go out onto the Soweto Expressway for a brief loop, pass the well-known Joburg gold mine dumps on their journey, and hug Soweto before returning to Main Reef Road.
The scenery becomes even more spectacular as the route goes on to the M1 S (cycling north). The backmarkers will be able to see the racing categories fighting for place as they race towards the finish for 3 kilometers. Riders will next join the M1, a fast series of undulating downhills that leads to Woodmead.
